We are living in a time when the teaching of Doctrine is becoming less a priority/ As churches strive for cultural relevence in a world where convenience is everything and self esteem is the message dejour doctrine is finding itself cast onto the back burner, or removed from the stove completely.

This is a bad thing. When "feel good" preaching and teaching casts doctrinal teaching out of the church and into the cold the end result is prayerless, powerless people who are attending a Sunday Social instead of Church.

The doctrinal food wht should be served that can strengthen and grow capable Christians is being replaced with spiritual junk food that tastes good but is unhealthy.

Paul instructed Timothy to:

1 Timothy 4:16 KJVR

(16)  Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

We cannot be saved without doctrine, and that sound, true doctrine. A solid doctrinal foundation is absolutely required for a sucessful and stable Christian life. It is not optional.

Apostolic Network Ministries Mission

Part of the mission here at Apostolic Network is to reinforce the doctrine of the Apostles by making it a prevalent part of our site. We desire to explore and promote all facets of biblically sound docrinal teaching. Not only the foundational doctrines such as Repentance, Water Baptism in Jesus Name, The Baptism of the Holy Ghost, Holiness and Faith, but also doctrines that are less taught throughout Pentecost, such as:

  • Grace
  • Social Responsibility
  • Spiritual Growth
  • Fruit Bearing

Our desire is to exhort and encourage others to study out doctrine and apply it to daily life. Doctrine is not a dead philosophy, but an active force that should be manifested in our every thought and deed that we fall not into the condemnation of:

2 John 1:9 KJVR

(9)  Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

Abide in Sound, True Doctrine, shun false doctrine.

Join us as we add doctrinal articles to the Topics In Doctrine section of Apostolic.Net in the coming days and weeks.

God Bless
